Julie Chen Moonves hosts the hit summer reality series Big Brother, which returned to its 22nd season from the 5th of August at CBS.Chen Moonves was one of The original hosts of The Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show The Talk, serving as moderator and host from the year 2010 until 2018. Her real passion came when she started writing, and was awarded an Emmy. Her outstanding talk show also won her an Emmy. Her experience in the news industry made her a natural for the switch to The Talk, which examines current events and issues through the eyes of five female hosts.Chen Moonves hosted the co-hosted version for CBS News' weekday morning broadcast The Early Show from 2002 to 2010. The previous assignments included anchoring the CBS Morning News and The Early Show. Chen Moonves was assigned to Cairo after the 9/11 attacks. She went down and interviewed the father who commanded hijackers for an eye-opening and interesting interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. Also, she spoke to former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves has also worked at the network's New York City station WCBS as a reporter anchor, as well as a producer (1997-1999). Prior to becoming a part of CBS News in 1995, Chen Moonves had been a reporter at WDTN TV Dayton. She worked as a producer for ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the network's affiliate news service in the late 1990s, as well as a desk assistant in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991) during her final year at the University of Southern California. As a desk assistant, she worked in ABC News' Nightline program with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel has remained one of her journalists heroes. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel on the Columbia duPont-winning special Anatomy of a Riot which focussed on those who were involved in the Los Angeles riots of '92.
